“A Different Animal…”, the new and much anticipated full-length album from Boise, Idaho’s Aces & Eights, is finally ready to hit the streets! After two years in the making this well-developed 12 song effort is sure to be well received. The band, which got its beginnings in 2002, has released material before though “A Different Animal…” signals a new direction and certainly promises to be it’s best effort to date. Inspired and influenced by both hard and punk rock styles of the late 1970’s, the band hopes to chart new territory with “A Different Animal…” Produced by Mike Erickson of Pressure Point and featuring backing vocals by Big Chuck of Whiskey Rebels, the record blends the gritty, hard-scrabble ethic of old-style rock & roll with a modern-day street punk spirit and sensibility resulting in a sound that is purely Aces & Eights. From its mid-tempo rockers to its “melt-your-face” screamers to its anthemic sing-alongs, “A Different Animal…” does away with genre-based boundaries and seeks to cultivate new musical ground.
