Ypres, Belgium, has always been the unofficial centre of European metalcore. The infamous H8000 scene pretty much defined European metalcore in the late 90ies, birthing bands such as Liar, Congress, Facedown and more and making it a whole new ballgame in terms of blurring the lines between metal and hardcore and raising the bar of musical brutality. Although this area never stopped to produce bands, the scene lost a bit of its importance in the years to come, with most of the aforementioned originators breaking up or simply losing their edge. However, the scene is having a revival in the past 2 to 3 years and it seems like there is a new band coming from there every day that transports that same anger and rage, that urge that already distinguished the first wave from the rest of the pack. One of them is THE BOSS! The band came together 2 years ago as a side-project of members from Die My Demon, Whatever It Takes, One Outta Six and First Alliance, but quickly turned into a motivated full time destructive force in European hardcore with one full length and a MCD already released, several European tours and a neverending hunger for more. Unlike most of there peers from their hometown who drift into metallic fields most of the time THE BOSS brings you pure no-bullshit-NYHC. "Life Is Foreplay” is their newest record and first for Alveran with which they will continue bringing mayhem to European stages, something they just proved on their recent European tour with label mates Bun Dem Out. 1. Intro 2. Zero Hero 3. Life Is Foreplay 4. Halftime 5. Breakdown 6. Crystal 7. This Is The Storm 8. Bound For The Top 9. Born As Winners 10. Where It Ends 11. La Belle et la Bête
