Following their performance at Krazyfest in Kentucky earlier this summer, HOT ROD CIRCUIT reunited for a winter tour that will hit both US coasts and the Midwest. In conjunction with the brief tour, Run For Cover has released this brand new vinyl EP including the new HOT ROD CIRCUIT songs "Forgive Me" and "Into The Sun," as well as a cover of SUPERDRAG’S "Sucked Out." The group’s reunion for Krazyfest came at the suggestion of festival organizer and former HOT ROD CIRCUIT crew member Andy Tinsley. "People kept asking if we were gonna do more shows for weeks afterward," says front-man Andy Jackson. "We’re all still really good friends, we love playing together, so we figured, why not do it one last time?" The New Haven, CT band’s storied career originally spanned ten years and included the Vagrant Records LPs Sorry About Tomorrow and Reality’s Coming Through as well as the Immortal Records LP The Underground Is A Dying Breed. "HOT ROD CIRCUIT is one of the rare breeds of bands that are capable of writing songs that remain true to their core sound, yet don’t sound like they continually write the same album…" — scenepointblank.com "There’s the New Wave nostalgia, the intuitive-but-effective harmonies, the angular guitar lines, the hummable melodies, and the angst…And it’s all wrapped up with masterful songwriting and impeccable musicianship." — Hybrid Magazine Side A 1. Forgive Me Side B 2. Into The Sun 3. Sucked Out COMMENTS:
