AT HALF-MAST’s sophomore full-length release titled Fathers And Sons brings forth 11 new tracks of dark, emotionally charged, hardcore from one of the east coast’s most promising bands. Heavily influenced by the likes of SHAI HULUD, TRAGEDY, CIRCA SURVIVE, and MISERY SIGNALS, Fathers And Sons spotlights the mature progression of the band’s songwriting and lyrical themes. With a full-length LP and two split 7”’s already under their belts, AT HALF-MAST went back into the studio in 2008 to record Fathers And Sons for Words Of War Records. Recorded at Ledbelly Sound Studios in South Carolina, AT HALF-MAST enlisted the help of studio engineer Matt Washburn (MASTADON, NORMA JEAN) to produce a recording that rips through the unpolished and youthful sounds heard in previous AT HALF-MAST recordings. Combined with the mastering genius of West West Side Studios (MODERN LIFE IS WAR, CONVERGE, SNAPCASE, LIFETIME, UNEARTH, SICK OF IT ALL, BAD BRAINS, EARTH CRISIS), Fathers And Sons is the result of a band that has become as comfortable as ever with themselves – both musically and lyrically. With a full European tour already on the slate for summer, AT HALF-MAST will be as busy as ever promoting their latest release.
