Leatherface are back with their long awaited album “The Stormy Petrel” and just as important on their own record label, Big Ugly Fish recordings!! Leatherface some would say are a relatively obscure but critically acclaimed British independent/punk band from Sunderland fronted by Frankie Stubbs. They have influenced many bands around the world and had a major effect on the USA punk scene! Formed in August 1988, they have released eight full-length albums so far. A notable element within their music is Stubbs’ rasping, “gravelly” vocals. The lyrics of the band often feature far-fetched similes, metaphors, wordplay and obscure allusions.
