Now in their 29th year 999 continue as strongly as ever. Unique amongst the original punk bands, none can claim 3 original members in their line-up and unlike so many of their contemporaries 999 never called it a day nor sold out. Live they're still pulling in the crowds.
Recently 999 expert John Connolly was given the task of cataloguing the band's extensive tape archive. During this he discovered several reel-to-reel tapes containing some amazing long forgotten studio recordings from between 1977 and 1979.
Amongst these tapes were 6 previously unreleased recordings and some fascinating demos including an amazing working version of 'Feelin' Alright With The Crew' and stunning very different versions of 'Titanic (My Over) Reaction' and 'English Wipeout' and a song called 'Solution' that transformed itself into 'Boiler'.
All these perfect quality previously unheard studio recordings have been compiled into this 16 track CD packaged in a 12-page booklet with rare photos and sleeve notes by frontman Nick Cash.
