Formed in 1982, Paranoid Visions were poles apart from the other Irish bands that graced the 1980’s Dublin gig scene. Having spilt up in 1992, the band have reformed on several occasions; 1996 for slots on the Sex Pistols filthy lucre tour, 2001 for slots on the Damneds 25th anniversary tour, and in 2005 for the release of their back catalogue. Originally released by the ever so hip anarcho punk rock label, All the Madmen, the cd’s collection of vinyl releases garnered rave reviews in all the national press and sold very well. The e.p “I Will Wallow”, a two fingered swipe at Irish rock royalty U2, was a hit single in Ireland and attracted the attention of several major record labels and received more widespread praise. The release of this album, initially in Ireland on an underground only basis, received more widespread acclaim and approval. The official release was been held back until the bands new album “40 Shades Of Gangreen” hit the shelves. COMMENTS:
