Rising from the ashes of The Skulls in 1978, D.O.A. are often referred to as the "founders" of hardcore along with Bad Brains and Minor Threat. Their second album Hardcore 81 was thought by many to have been the first actual reference to the second wave of American punk bands sound as hardcore. Released on Captain Oi! this 26 track round up of every A and B side issued by the band in their first twenty one years was well worth the wait! Personally overseen by Joey Shithead with notes on every release and pictures of each one it’s easy to see why so many of today’s bands cite them as a major influence. 1. Disco Sucks 2.
