Formed in 2003 from the ashes of INVASION, RIGHTEOUS JAMS came together when vocalist Joey Contrada (ex INVASION/STOP and THINK) met Elgin James (former WRECKING CREW/454 BIG BLOCK vocalist) in a thwarted robbery and ensuing street fight. The two became quick friends and soon were playing alongside fellow Invasion/Mental members Justin DeTore and Derek Scace.
