The story of TROOPERS is not that of a band playing at being tough guys whilst enjoying their suburban lifestyle, but that of a band that has faced hardship from day one, a band whose outlet for their frustration and aggression is very apparent in their music. Their sound is fairly simple to describe, as they don’t let themselves get influenced by whatever band is trendy at the moment, concentrating on playing the music they love and feel comfortable with. Street (punk) rock with German vocals is what’s on offer, causing frequent comparisons musically to the million sellers Böhse Onkelz. Frontman Atze has "been there and done that", and his contempt of society comes from the frustrations, hardship and aggression experienced. Their debut release and follow-up mini album were successful throughout Germany, but they exceeded all expectations by establishing a loyal following in places such as Holland and Belgium, a fact that makes them almost unique as a band that sings in German. Through live appearances on the Schlachrtufe tours, Full Force and Dynamo festivals and alongside the likes of Business, Red London or Discipline, they have built up a reputation as a live band too ... when they play near you - dont miss them!
